@KateP Without knowing what words are in our Mastered words list it is hard to determine how the computer decides what we have mastered. If you were to jump up to 118 words and could see what the new word was you achieved, you might have an understanding of the process and be able to work toward new words. It would be nice if they gave us some guidelines.

I've been stuck at 117 Mastered words FOREVER. I wish I at least knew something was close to moving up. 🤪

@Jesshines Do you mean to do the Fluency Club (FC) exercises? As far as I know you can do the regular videos and exercises by downloading in the app (the real app with the blue icon), but you can't yet do FC in the app. If you mean the PWA "app" (white icon app), that has Fluency Club, but it's not downloadable. However, personally I generally do Fluency Club on my phone or iPad though just using the browser (usually Safari). I use wifi at home but cellular access if away from wifi and it works fine.

Can I get the Yabla app on my phone or download a lesson to my phone so I can practice when I am away from my computer?

@Cathy Reed oh yeah! I just tried that and it is definitely easier. That's very tempting and I'll have to think about it. I do sometimes do classes where I have to type in Spanish quickly and that wouldn't be available so I maybe don't want to get to reliant on it, but for Yabla it definitely seems like using the numbered keys is the easiest.

@BettyBoo I have used the alt + the correct number combination on the keypad previous to them providing the one step on the number keypad. I like the idea of pressing one number, it makes it faster for me. I have touched the numbers on my screen before to make them work, but that is like exercise, LOL.

@BettyBoo My other common method is just to ignore the accent and wait three seconds for it to turn 😛 If you are trying to build points to bump words to mastered or something I think there might be a very small penalty but it's sometimes just worth it to move along. When I do that I do try to say in my head "A accent" so at least I am reinforcing it's existence.

@BettyBoo I've done that before :)

@BettyBoo I usually use my iPad or phone in which case I either am using voice to text by just speaking or I just long press the letter and cancel select the accent from a pop-up menu. When I do voice to text for things like Scribe it puts in the accent for me. I realize this is kind of cheating in that context but it also adds other challenges and since my goal is to focus on speaking it works for me. On my ThinkPad (Windows laptop) I think that method you suggest using Alt-A (or whatever letter) is the easiest. I do have to use the Right Alt button.
